Mortgage Applications increased 7.5% for the week ending August 29, according to Fannie Mae. The 7.5% increase brings the index to a level of 453.1, which is the highest level since mid-July. Purchases led the way, increasing 10.5% while the refinancing gauge was up 2.1%.
